Follow this steps to activate your Windows Defender. 

Click your windows button, the search and click for "Windows Defender".

Click tool button next to history button.

Click Option button.

Click Administrator Tab at the left corner, then check the box, "Use this program"

Make sure that windows update is set to automatically download and installed in order to have a continuous update on your windows defender and expect that you will have some unexpected restart, especially for the first set up. So, please don't ignore the notification and save your work before it will restart automatically. Do this on your own risk.

If you do some bank transaction online it’s still better to use paid application to secure your information from hackers.
